Misconceptions about cannabis dispensaries

In fact, no one on shift is allowed to smoke marijuana at all! I have a smoking lounge in the back, and after a shift, or on their days off, my people are welcome to hang out and sample whatever products the marijuana dispensary has to offer.

There are a few little misconceptions I would like to address, mostly having to do with my professionalism here on the job. A lot of people have some odd notions in their head when it comes to a marijuana dispensary, and most of those notions are wrong. I understand that most people don’t know what we do here, but the problem is that they jump to conclusions and think the worst. The truth is, this is a business much like any other. Instead of selling books, or gasoline, we just sell a very unique line of products. Just like a bartender doesn’t spend all day drinking booze, my budtenders don’t spend all day smoking marijuana. In fact, no one on shift is allowed to smoke marijuana at all! I have a smoking lounge in the back, and after a shift, or on their days off, my people are welcome to hang out and sample whatever products the marijuana dispensary has to offer. I encourage them to try out as many different strains of cannabis as possible, so they can make smarter recommendations for their loyal customers. I want my people to be professional, to be sharp, and to know every product in the dispensary intimately. All that said, no one is allowed to get high or smoke cannabis while at work, ever. If they want to have some of the CBD infused edibles, which have no THC content in them, that’s just fine by me, as long as they don’t do anything that would impair their abilities as marijuana salespeople.
